Children & Families Minister

 £25 500 - £28 500 (depending on experience)
St Paul’s is a larger evangelical church in Leamington Spa (recently voted the best place to live in the UK).  Around 150 under 11s attend regularly and we have excellent links with our church school. 
 
We are looking to appoint a Children’s and Families’ Minister to oversee the work of our Children’s and Families’ team, to build on our work with primary and pre-school children.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping children to experience God’s love personally and grow as disciples of Jesus.
 
For the right candidate, part-time hours will be considered.

Ministry Trainee Intern

3 Interns to start September 2019
From September 2019 we are offering up to three internships at St Paul’s. Over 46 weeks, interns will have the opportunity to explore their own calling by serving God in the work of the church and by receiving training in ministry. We are committed to helping our interns to discover and develop the gifts which God has given them and investing in them as the next generation of leaders.
  

Your Commitment


Between 1st September 2019 to 19th July 2020, we expect you to give at least 20 hours a week in service to the church, this will likely include being involved in, or attending, all three of our main Sunday services.

You will be expected to serve in ministry areas throughout the whole life of the church, including the more practical, administrative tasks. You will also be given the opportunity to focus on particular areas of interest including (but not limited to) St Paul's Youth , St Paul's Kids or Worship.

Hours are flexible to enable you to take a part-time job if you wish, but you will need to include Tuesday afternoons (for staff meetings) and Sundays as part of your working hours.

Our Commitment

Although the internship is unpaid, we will cover expenses and provide training. Therefore, we expect that the year will be cost neutral for you financially. Training will include:

  • Line management by a staff member
  • A mentor from our church family
  • Leadership training
  • Attendance at weekly staff meetings
  • Termly staff Quiet Mornings
  • Willow Creek Global Leadership Summit conference locally in the Autumn term
  • Other training events as appropriate to main area of ministry focus


In addition to this, we will seek to help you to find accommodation for the year. This will either be with a member of the church family, or elsewhere.
