Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals
Weddings
If you've just got engaged, then firstly - congratulations! You are welcome to get married in your local church regardless of whether you are part of that church community or not.
If you would like to get married at St Paul's, you can find out more information by requesting a copy of our information sheet from the church office. The first thing you will need to do is to arrange a date which works for you, and when our building and a member of our clergy are free. Contact Caroline Castle (details at the bottom of this page), While preparing for marriage, there is a Marriage Prep course available. You can find a trailer for it here, and find out more and sign up for it online here.
*A note on BANNS
To be married in a Church of England church you will need to have your Banns of Marriage read in both the church you are to be married in, and the parish church(es) in which both the bride and groom live. If you need to have your banns of marriage read at St Paul's, you'll need to complete the form below and return it to the church office. We need at least 4 weeks notice to read your banns, but ask that you give us as much notice as possible. There is a fee to be paid.

Baptism and Confirmation
At St Paul's, we can offer Baptism for Children, Confirmation or Baptism as an Adult (or reaffirmation of Baptismal vows). These usually take part in the service you usually attend and if you would like more information on these please speak to a member of our Clergy, or contact the church office.
Funerals
Funerals can be a really difficult time, as we mark the close of a loved one's life on earth. They give an opportunity for friends and family to express their grief and to give thanks. Our clergy are available and willing to conduct the funeral of your loved one either in church or at the crematorium. Normally your funeral director will contact us to arrange a date, but if you would like to speak to someone directly, please contact Caroline.
You can access some pages on the Church of England's website to help you plan the service here.
